CMP has increased its binding capacity
CMP (UK) Ltd has installed a second binding and trimming line, the Horizon BQ270 fully automated perfect binding system and HT-30 3-edge trimmer to add much needed capacity and redundancy to its book printing services.
Paul Dawe, managing director of the Poole and Luton based book printer, comments:
“The Horizon additions will double our book production capabilities to 5600 books per day. We have been getting a large amount of enquiries for short run perfect bound books. Everyone seems to want shorter runs these days and we needed the most cost-effective solution to achieve the best results for our existing and new clients.”
Paul did investigate the market before opting for the Horizon:
“We looked extensively at a number of systems – but decided that adding a second line of Horizons gave us everything we wanted. They offer fast set ups and considerably more flexibility the one larger line, they also give us near on 100% up time. It’s important to us to have the back-up and support of a good supplier, and we knew we would have that with the Horizon kit.
Paul adds: “All our clients have come to expect an extremely high level of service and quality in everything we do and to ensure we continue this ethos it’s important to reinvest along the way”
CMP offers a full range of book printing services to Publishers large and small with a focus very much on service levels for all its clients across all facets of print.
The additional machinery further extends the array of binding options on offer at CMP - these include perfect binding, case binding, square-back saddle stitching, coil binding and wiro binding.
